Denise Mina, from Scotland, has written fifteen-ish novels including graphic novels, three produced plays, innumerable short stories and is a regular BBC presenter. She has won a number of prizes, including the Theakston’s Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year Award two years running. Her latest book, The Long Drop, won the McIlvanney Prize for Scottish Crime Book of the Year.
